Gaulin Kishibu Kati (Gaulin / Heron Full Moon)

Gaulin Kati (Heron Moon)

Gaulin (Cattle Heron) Moon - January 28th
As so many things are changing around us this moon is one of adaptability and returning to balance, as the wahil Kati was in december, this full moon there are many changes taking place The Wahil (grouper fish) are still spawning and transformations are taking place, we too must adjust.
This moon we reflect and honor what today is called the Gaulin in the Caribbean, this is a close relative to the Yaboa (night heron).

Gaulin - A small white heron which spends most of its time around cattle and livestock instead of water wading as most herons do. They feed on the insects and grubs disturbed by the grazing animals.

Several Native American Tribes look at the heron symbol as signs of patience and good luck. This belief takes root in the Northwest Coast, where people believe that if Native American fishermen spot a heron, it means good luck is with them, and they will have a successful fishing trip.

For most of us, it is common knowledge that fishing in many coastal areas and villages is the main source of livelihood and food.

Thus, a heron symbolizes prosperity in the lives of Native Americans. Some tribes even look upon herons as an eternal solitary creature of nature, perhaps because it stays aloof mostly except for the breeding time.

Now the Gaulin has evolved post colonization from the Herons family and is opportunist, creating new mutualistic relationship where it supports cattle and is nourished and protected in so doing.

Spiritual Significance

This Full moon is during a time of shifts and transitioning and as such represents an awareness of opportunities and the ability to evolve as required for the benefit of your spirit, your family, your people and all mankind.
This is a time of new adventures and releasing old ways, with alot of emphasis on cleansing and releasing.
For the next moon we dance.

CEREMONY

.
I encourage practicing a simple ceremony below to help connect with this moment:

1. Create Sacred Space - Call on your ancestors, your guides, the ways your ancestors would have. Ask them to help focus your mind and heart to the task at hand, so you may be prepared to show yourself worthy for all that you seek, to attract the energy necessary to manifest your desire with the coming seasons of abundance.

2. Place your hands over your heart, ( right hand over left hand elbows out like a birds wings). Take 7 deep breaths and visualise with each inhale energy from Atabey (Mother Earth) going into your heart and with each exhale leaving from your being out through your feet to be grounded into the earth.

3. With your eyes close while standing chin to chest, drop your shoulders and visualise your connection with Atabey (mother Earth), see yourself like the Gaulin (cattle Egret) balanced and in harmony with your host, see yourself nourished effortlessly and as you consume you cleanse your host and are nourished.

4. Bring that awareness to the plant kinds, how effortlessly with our inhale we receive from the plants and with exhale releasing what does not serve us (carbon dioxide) we nourish the plants.
We prepare ourselves to receive, release and renew in balance.
Ask yourself how can you fulfill your purpose in these shifting times, while doing the greatest good for all.
Do not focus on the response but the feeling of balance, of harmony.

5.When you feel in your heart it is time give them thanks for their guidance and the energy given to you. Note

energy is present 2 days before and 2 days after the Full moon so you have time to practice.

New Moon in Sagittarius

To prepare for the Full Cold Moon below is the guidance received :

Inline image 1

The Sagittarius New Moon is today Dec 7th.  The days grow short and dark for many of us, so it's a cosmic sync that the inner light is stoked.
The enspiriting themes of Sagittarius are freedom, highest aspiration, wisdom, questing, travel, enlightened minds, kindred spirits, friend to all, gregarious friendships and togetherness (without being stifling.)
It's time to seek out an inspired vision, one that is ignited by others also catching fire with ideas and enthusiasm. You become part of something bigger than yourself, while also sensing your unique mission, gifts to share.
Sagittarius is about fusion without necessarily knowing how it happens. Dots get connected, and what you're aware of fuses into a focused intention. And it's about being loyal to your own sense of what's true.  You won't want to miss anything the muse and spirit send your way!
from Molly Hall Astrology Expert

Each moon, has a vibration has an energy as we would not seek to plant crops requiring heat in the cold season, so too do not desire to act out of alignment with nature.

The cold moon speaks towards our desire and intentions, it speaks towards going within to grow your imagination and visualisation, from now we create the vibrations for the new year.
The bear goes within to Hibernate, so too until the full moon reflect on your year, what serves you no more as a desire ... a thought... a relationship that requires release ?
What feeds your soul and your passion ... ?
What has brought you great joy from source that is unconditional and dependent on no other variable than self ?

In the darkness of the moon practice the exercise below :

Open Sacred Space, this is a practice of praying and setting the mood and tone of one that is accepting to the Creator to enter your space throughout the process of your practice.

I recommend using a candle  and for 10 mins staring at the flame, with each inhale feel the light within you grow, and with each exhale the fog in your mind is removed, continue this practice repeating each line until you find your answer your way , your path (when your eyes get watery or tired close them and hold the after image of the flame in your minds eye ).

fill the gap in the following sentences on a sheet of paper .

I _______ will Empower myself with ____________..
I _______ will attract meaningful relationships with ___________.
I _______ will increase my health with ________________.
I _______ will increase my abundance by _____________.

example ; I Robert will empower myself with my mantras.
I Robert will attract meaningful relationships with my joy and pleasant demeanor.
I Robert will increase my health with daily practice of  meditation.
I Robert will increase my abundance by living in Grace.

Visualise each of these events, visualise your practice for the upcoming year from now each day until the full moon.
(Keep this paper in a safe place on the full moon the ceremony will involve burning this sheet).

If you receive any insights, sounds, smells, visions during this day make a note no matter how strange it may seem (you can always contact me for symbolic interpretation).

Energy is present 2 days before and 2 days after new moon so you have time to practice.

Be as thou art - Munay Ki

Who are you...
Do you even know who and what you are not ?
Where do you end and everything else begins ?
Why does the actions and thoughts of others affect you ?
WHO ARE YOU..

Being born in Jamaica a nation who's motto is "Out of Many one People" or atleast the current motto as previously the motto was INDUS UNTERQUE SERVIET VNI is the Latin translation for "The two Indians will serve as one", or rather "Both Indies will serve Together", in reference to the collective servitude of the Taino and Arawak Indians to the colonizers.
OUT OF MANY ONE PEOPLE - what is it that makes us ONE PEOPLE..
Were we ever one before ?
Were we ever really separated ?

Most jamaicans have mixed families, we were taught that all the taino / arawkas died but we learned this was not so, many escaped to the hills and the african slaves that escaped met with the true natives of the land.

In jamaica today the slaves that escaped are called maroons and there descendants the rest are simply jamaicans, but they are all jamaicans.
All slaves once freed were marooned on this island with no way to return to there roots, so all african jamaicans are maroons....

What of the true natives of this land that we inherited sacred sites from, the maroons may have had there own view of caves and sacred sites but they were well established spiritual sites for centuries before there arrival.

Inheritance - Inheritance is the practice of passing on propertytitlesdebtsrights and obligations upon the death of an individual. It has long played an important role in human societies. The rules of inheritance differ between societies and have changed over time.--

We inherited this land from the natives, and with it there connection to the earth.

I always wondered where this deep connection to native practices came from within me,  when I visited accompong and meditated in the forest a clear vision came to me of the land defeating the british, of the land fighting against the enemies of the maroons and choosing them as protectors of sacred spaces and sites.
The maroons inherited the blessings of this island and the ancestors that lived here from the Taino, and as an earthkeeper i inherited this calling of protecting mother earth and the wisdom she holds.

Munay-KI is a set of initation rites from the Qero shaman of peru.
The word “Munay-Ki” (moon-eye-key) simultaneously means “I love you” and “Be as thou art.”  This is a beautiful reminder that love arises from what is most authentic within us.  All of Creation wishes us to be who we were born to be.

Indigenous is who I truly am.

In 2012 during his Peruvian Qero Inca Shamanic Journey, he learnt of the Ancient Qero Prophecy of the Eagle and the Condor which speaks toward the people of the North (Eagle) reuniting with the people of the South (Condor) soaring in the sky together honoring the relations throughout the Americas. In July 2016 he had the extreme privilege, to represent Jamaican Taino and All Taino of the Caribbean in the Peace & Dignity Journeys that spanned Four and half months of running and praying through Indigenous communities, in the fulfillment of the Ancient Prophecy.
