New Moon in Sagittarius / Winter Solstice

Sagittarius, the ninth sign of the zodiac, is the home of the wanderers of the zodiac. It's not a mindless ramble for these folks, either. Sagittarians are truth-seekers, and the best way for them to do this is to hit the road, talk to others and get some answers. Knowledge is key to these folks, since it fuels their broad-minded approach to life. The Sagittarian-born are keenly interested in philosophy and religion, and they find that these disciplines aid their internal quest. At the end of the day, what Sagittarius wants most is to know the meaning of life, and to accomplish this while feeling free and easy.

In Palm reading there are 4 main lines that are read :
Heart
Head
Life
Fate

In the Quecha practice we too perceive four lines that are integral to life, these are :
Love      - Relationships
Money   - Will , ability to manifest desires
Health    - Well being of yourself and those closest to you
Power   - Emotional health, ability to tap into the abundance all around us, self confidence etc..

Through journeying to my guide it was apparent to me that on December 18th New Moon and December 21st Winter Solstice  the celestial bodies shall usher in the energy necessary for change, setting intentions to be carried towards the full moon on December 24th and throughout the entire year.

To assist all with tapping into this energy I have shared this meditation below please share with your friends so they too may heal these 4 areas of their life. Healing one more person brings us closer to shifting the global consciousness and healing the world the desire for 2018 to be a year of prosperity and growth can only be achieved through sharing our gifts with all that we can.
Additionally I recommend practicing the Life review exercise before or after doing the meditation bringing attention to these 4 lines in your personal life and the trends that have progressed through out your human experience thus far. for life review exercise click here.

With regards to the Winter Solstice (Dec 21st), I recommend practicing a ceremony in the morning, as this is the shortest day of the year signaling that point in which you will now have shorter days and longer nights, a ceremony of gratitude giving thanks for all of the light, joy, love received throughout this year , truly celebrate the suns rays not taking for granted this joyous warmth is always a part of your life.

September Full Corn Moon

Septembers Full Moon is on September 6th

The September full Moon is usually known as the Full Corn Moon because it traditionally corresponds with the time of harvesting corn. It is also called the Barley Moon because this is the time to harvest and thresh ripened barley.
Often, the September Moon is also called the Harvest Moon, but this year the Harvest Moon occurs in October
The full Moon nearest the autumnal equinox is called the Harvest Moon. This Moon is not just the full Moon that occurs at the time of the harvest. It is the full Moon that actually helps the harvest by providing more light at the right time than other full Moons do.

To the Indians of the New World, spiritual life and the life of flesh were reflecting counterparts of one another in that midmost place. The breath of Spirit breathed in the corn like the Mayan wife who blows on her kernels before grinding them into meal. Wherever corn grew in the Americas it was held by the people to be the symbol of life and fertility. It was the flesh of man and that which sustained him but it was the gift of the Father, and its multicoloured glory was cherished as the endlessly varied expression of his beneficence. It was the spirit of the seed of eternal life, and frequently the umbilical cord of a newborn child was cut over an ear of corn. From the Northeastern woodlands to the tropics of Guatemala and beyond, many tribes observed this practice and saved most of the seed from this sanctified corn for the child's first solid meal. The rest was kept until the little one grew older and could begin to participate in the sacred act of planting, placing the carefully preserved kernels into the small deep holes with his own hand.

from theosophytrust.mobi

The energy of this full moon is one of gratitude for the beautiful harvest physically , mentally, emotionally and spiritually for there is so much to be grateful for ; as well as releasing inhibitions and fears as we prepare to enter the colder season , that representing hibernation, meditation and deep contemplation.

Full Corn Moon Ceremony:

Open Sacred Space - you can use a prayer or simply set your intentions asking for your higher self/ creator to enter your space and allow all that will be done to work towards the benefit of yourself firstly and all around you.

Items Required -  corn kernel, conrmeal , seeds, (anything that symbolises fertility) , Paper and pen

Set Intentions - Close your eyes and observe the darkness, and from that darkness try to visualise the first spark of light. Allow this light to grow and feel the heat from this light until it becomes the Sun. Here set your intentions to receive that life giving medicine and nourishment into your life to fuel the things that will feed your spirit and release those that not longer serve you.
(If you practiced the New Moon in Leo Solar Elcipse ceremony use the sheet from that ceremony )Write these down on a sheet of paper.

Meditation -   Take the symbol of fertility (cornmeal, corn kernel, seeds etc..) and blow your intentions into it each time raising it to one of the 4 directions after asking the guides of the 4 directions to hear your request acknowledge the intentions you have set and to bless you with their medicine. After honoring all the 4 directions hold the symbol to grandmother moon and father sky then finally placing on the earth. Here say a prayer of gratitude for your harvest for all you have received throughout this cycle and all that is yet to come.

Close Sacred Space - Upon completion Thank Great spirit / grand mother moon and the energies called at the beginning of the ceremony for allowing this opportunity to channel this nights energy into the release of your desires towards the betterment of yourself and all you meet.

New moon in Taurus

New moon April 26th
Taurus, the Bull, is the second Zodiac sign in the horoscope. Taurus belongs to the element earth and the fixed quality. The Taurus Zodiac sign is that of the settler, who cultivates the earth and ensures everyone's livelihood. The peasant of old, the worker who carries society on his shoulders. Taurus has trust in what's palpable.

The events of the past month have been geared towards bringing us balance in our lives, notice the shifts around you and the lessons they are teaching.

Note This energy is perfect for manifesting your physical, emotional, and spiritual desires... what your soul truly seeks in this existence to be grounded and truly enjoy the human experience.

The ceremony is as follows:

1. OPEN SACRED SPACE you can use a prayer or simply set your intentions asking for your higher self/ creator to enter your space and allow all that will be done to work towards the benefit of yourself firstly and all around you.

2. get a pen / pencil , table spoon of salt water ,anything sweet+ water and a sheet of paper (additionally any objects that are significant towards your desires example a piece of metal, a coin, a picture of a house etc.. )

3.Write on the sheet of paper your intentions you would like to have manifested for the upcoming full moon, visualise each intention as a seed that you are preparing to plant and have it fed by the energy of this new moon activating and generating its rapid growth. If you have other items that symbolise your intentions wrap them in the paper as well. You have now created your intentions bundle.

4.Sprinkle the salt water and sweet water on your bundle while repeating in your mind "As above, So below, As within So Without " or " let Thy kingdom come; let Thy will be done, as in Heaven so on earth" (which ever you are more comfortable with) .Find a spot outdoors or a plant and dig a whole that will fit your paper filled with intentions and significant objects.

5.Place your hands to your heart and say a prayer of thanks to great spirit, a prayer of gratitude for guiding you to this practice, to this ceremony, and asking that the hands that plants this seed shall reap its intended harvest towards the benefit of yourself and those you will meet.

6.When it feels right place your hands before your forehead and repeat your personal confirmation used after prayer either amen, selah , han han niah / katu ,so it shall be etc..

7. Now put your hands before your stomach, slightly below your solar plexus (below rib cage). Let the fingers join at the tops, all pointing away from you. Cross the thumbs. It is important to straighten the fingers. This Mudra (hand seal) Opens the Solar plexus so your gateway in your energetic body for will power and manifestation will assists with the planting of your intentions.

place the fingers in the hole and take 3 deep inhales and exhales. Really feel that relief and gratitude with each exhale as all the tension is released from your being as compost for the seeds you are about to plant.

8. Place your bundle into the hole, cover it up with the dirt and spend a few moments in silence, pure silence not thoughts, no worries, just experience being.. it also helps to count the breath from 1-10 (1 for inhale 2 for exhale) and repeat when you arrive at 10 until you feel that you are truly centered.

9.Give thanks to your spirit guide / creator and close your sacred space.
Energy is present 2 days before and 2 days after New moon so you have time to practice.

The Mythology of Aries

Aries is known as the sign of new beginnings. In asyrian mythology Aries means "prince" Indicating that by nature and the first sign of the zodiac aries is a leader.

The asian glyph popularly thought to represent the horns of the ram was also said to be a primitive representation of the human eyebrows and nose and  'fount' of energy indicating the source of the Arian energy drive - both these having associations with the head over which Aries has rule. The Ancient Egyptians equated Aries with the Ram headed God, Amun, or Amon-Ra, Sun- God, creator and leader of the universe.

New Moon in Pisces

New Moon February 26th

As with all New Moon this symbolizes the planting of new seeds new intentions, this new moon will be in the zodiac sun sign of pisces (it is also a SOLAR ECLIPSE) -

Through journeying to Mama quilla/ BiBi Karaya (grand mother moon) and mam cocha / Atabey (mother of the waters) they have shared with me that the significance of this new moon is to deepen our spiritual and inner practice. As you know the symbol for pisces is two fish, this represents duality the internal and external, the light and dark, the dual aspect humanity chooses to accept, finding peace and connecting these two sides of self creates peace in our day to day experiences.
March 1st in christianity is the beginning of Lent a 40 day period used to sacrifice some aspect of our lives in search of a stronger connection to spirit, this new moon assists the energy of Lent but not to sacrifice or give up, but to deepen our practice as Jesus deepened his practice in the wilderness before being tested. The pisces is the last of the zodiac signs and with that in mind it urges us to review the energy of all the signs that came before it, as we prepare our self for the budding and blossoming desires / intentions of spring (vernal equinox March 20th).

This new Moon ceremony instructions below is to help you for the upcoming full moon (march 12/13th Full Crow Moon, those of us in Jamaica have already seen the black birds all over heralding the approach of spring) and the energy that will follow  .

The ceremony is as follows:

1. OPEN SACRED SPACE you can use a prayer or simply set your intentions asking for your higher self/ creator to enter your space and allow all that will be done to work towards the benefit of yourself firstly and all around you.

2. get a bowl with water and a candle or anything that represents Fire Energy

3.place one hand in the bowl and the other above the candle (just to feel the warmth you can also be near a fire or fire place)

Repeat the following words focusing on the water :Atabey / Mama Cocha mother of the waters teach me to ride the waves of life, accepting the lessons in every experience as they groom me towards your glory.

Repeat the following words focusing on the fire: Yocah /InTi- titi great sun (son), spark my passions within me, show me the trail I am to follow shinning my light for all to see.

4.Repeat the following focusing on your heart; Great spirit, may the fire of my passions, the eb and flow of my emotions, and the guidance from great spirit unite all aspects of my being, light and dark, mind and emotions, inward and outward.

5.Focus on your heart and visualise the water and the fire encircling each other within  you, always close but never touching finding your center your peace.

while visualising speak aloud all the things you desire whether they seem contradictory or not, trust that grand mother moon will hear your request and lead you towards a practice that will strengthen your health, love life, clarity and abundance.

6.When you are finished ask Atabey /mama quilla for a word that will help you to tap into the energy of your becoming the healed you...

7.after the ceremony out the fire but keep the water in a jar or cup have it by your bedside while you sleep (cover it if you feel led) each morning until the 12th (full moon) repeat the word you received from Atabey /mama quilla dip a finger in the water and place on your forehead then heart.

Give thanks to your spirit guide / creator and close your sacred space.

Full Snow Moon / Hunger Moon of February

Full Snow Moon (Lunar Eclipse) – February Since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month, native tribes of the north and east most often called February’s full Moon the Full Snow Moon. Some tribes also referred to this Moon as the Full Hunger Moon, since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult.

During  the coming full moon take the time to contemplate your journey through this month seen as a very harsh time throughout the world, with a state of gratitude reflect on all of the highlights throughout this season,
notice the intentions you had set for yourself.
notice those that were met and those that were not ?
notice pleasant surprises and give thanks.
notice the unexpected obstacles and give thanks.
notice the lessons received from these obstacles and give thanks.
notice friendships that have grown stronger and give thanks.
notice friendships that have ended and give thanks.

At the end of the Full snow moon as we approach spring many trees will have died through the cold weather, many animals as well this is all a part of life so give thanks for your loss for it grants access to new doors and possibilities.

Lunar Eclipse Info:
A lunar eclipse is a time of beginnings, endings, exposure and major changes. It always has something to do with "relationships". The changes are tied to how we relate and will have a lasting impression. Emotions run high, causing upsets and feelings of disorientation. Actions taken may not have the expected results, but they do bring awareness and enlightenment. The energy of an eclipse is at its strongest during the two days before and three days after its occurrence. At lunar eclipses we: merge, unite, announce, contact, present ourselves, bring something out into the open, make decisions, engage, rise to the challenge, make an effort, change, get a new perspective, join with others, take on greater challenges, travel at a faster pace, feel restless, feel pressured by deadlines and a buildup of emotions, and experience excitement and crisis.During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are in opposition, also called the Full Phase, indicating the linking of soul to spirit and awareness of purpose gained through relationship with another. A lunar eclipse is a supercharged Full Moon. The blocking of the Moon's reflection of the Sun's light by the Earth suggests that our material viewpoint stands in the way of our "seeing the light". It serves as a reminder that we need to realize how we are held in the dark by virtue of our perspective.extract above from:http://zodiacarts.com/whatsup/LunarEclipse.shtml
