September Full Harvest Moon

Harvest Full Moon is on September 24th
The full Moon nearest the autumnal equinox is called the Harvest Moon. This Moon is not just the full Moon that occurs at the time of the harvest. It is the full Moon that actually helps the harvest by providing more light at the right time than other full Moons do.

The autumnal equinox is the first day of fall. It is celebrated by many different cultures and plays a significant role in some beliefs .For most people, fall is a time that ushers in harvests, preserving food for the upcoming months, enjoyment of the colors of the changing leaves and beginning to prepare oneself both physically and psychologically for the upcoming colder months.

The energy of this full moon is one of gratitude for the beautiful harvest physically , mentally, emotionally and spiritually for there is so much to be grateful for ; as well as releasing inhibitions and fears as we prepare to enter the colder season , that representing hibernation, meditation and deep contemplation.

Full Harvest Moon Ceremony:

Open Sacred Space - you can use a prayer or simply set your intentions asking for your higher self/ creator to enter your space and allow all that will be done to work towards the benefit of yourself firstly and all around you.

Items Required - (for those that did the New Moon in Virgo practice we will be using the cord / ribbon from that practice)  A ribbon / cord, pen and paper.

Set Intentions - Close your eyes and visualise in your minds eye a seed, from this seed observe its process of piercing the earth rooting itself and growing into a beautiful tree that will itself  produce fruit bearing seeds.
Acknowledge the stage of growth that you are in your life compared to the growth process of this tree, from here write down 7 things you desire to release to the universe, these can be things you desire or things that serve you no more I recommend having a good mix of both.
Write these down on a sheet of paper.

Meditation - Take the ribbon / cord in your hand and ask your guides / teachers to assist you with releasing this energy to the universe, for each desire or thing that serves you no more tie a knot in the ribbon / cord, really FEEL the energy in your heart of this desire when tying the knot (for those that did the New Moon in Virgo Meditation dig up your container with the ribbon reconnect with each knot). When it feels right focus on each knot and repeat the following as you pull each knot in gratitude "As above, so Below, as Within, so Without, I release my desires to you Great Spirit".
When you have released all knots keep this cord / ribbon as a totem , a reminder that you have released these desires / intentions view it as a receipt from the universe and burn the paper blowing the ashes outdoors.
Allow some time in silence reflecting on the release and allowing yourself to be fully present in the moment for any guidance you receive.

Close Sacred Space - Upon completion Thank Great spirit / grand mother moon and the energies called at the beginning of the ceremony for allowing this opportunity to channel this nights energy into the release of your desires towards the betterment of yourself and all you meet.

Energy of Full moon present 2 days before and after so you will have time to practice this ceremony.

Full Buck Moon Ceremony

July is the month of the Full Buck Moon.

This Full moon is on July 27th and is also a Lunar Eclipse
Bucks begin to grow new antlers at this time. This full Moon was also known as the Thunder Moon, because thunderstorms are so frequent during this month.

The symbolism and energy of this full moon is the same whether it is perceived as the Thunder moon using the symbol of a lightning bolt or as The Full buck moon using imagery similar to that above of a buck / deer with its antlers, The moon symbolizes divine feminine energy while male Deer / Buck antlers grow back during this period, like wise from Greek / Roman culture the God of Thunder was seen as the Divine Masculine so this full moon brings balance.
In Taino tradition the Cemi of Thunder is Guataba who plays the Mayohuacán (taino wooden ceremonial drum) to announce the coming of Guabancex the spirit of storms which is fitting as we are already in hurricane season.

More Messages on the Energy of The Full Buck MOON
The deer’s antlers can grow back once they fall. Because of this characteristic, this animal has been revered in many traditions as a symbol of life regeneration.

Antlers are the bony branched structures found on animals of the Cervidal family, such as deer and moose. With the exception of the reindeer, antlers are grown only by the male of the species and they are shed and regrown every year. It is this cycle of shedding and regrowing of antlers that connect them to fertility and rebirth.

This moon is the first Full Moon after the Summer Solstice (June 21st) , the summer solstice is the period in which the sun is closest to earth, the sun has always been a symbol of the divine Masculine energy and the Moon the Divine Feminine , again we see the signs indicating that this Full moon carries not only the energy of Rebirth, Regeneration, and Fertility but also that of Balance.

As the "Full Thunder moon" again divine balance is the main energy as the lightning symbolizes a connection between the sky and earth, molding of air element, water element, earth element and for traditional tribes fire element of the sky.

LUNAR ECLIPSE

Lunar Eclipses are times of great cleansing and purging, as the earth casting its shadow on the moon affects the waters on or planet, so too are the waters in our body affected to sum it up this will be a heightened Full moon.
With that in mind be cautious when about as Lunatic comes from Lunar , mans observation of the Full Moons affect on some individuals.
Let us work to channel this cleansing energy and be apart of the great changes around us.

The Ceremony below allows you to tap into the energy of the Full Buck Moon bringing Rebirth and Balance to our day to day lives:

1. Open Sacred Space - This is your personal practice of calling enlightening energies and entities into your space to guide and oversee the ceremony, this can be a prayer , mantra etc...

2.Items Required - Get a sheet of paper , pen and a bowl with water.

3.Intentions - (if you practiced the new moon ceremony from June  skip this step). Fold a sheet of paper into 3 parts with 3 headings Work, Family , Self.

For Rebirth or renewal this requires release, our intentions will be to release energy with this cycle that is associated with the 3 headings above.

4.Release - Say a prayer or repeat a mantra / affirmation that calls on the energy of the Full moon to carry away from your life what does not serve you in the area of your Work, Family, and Self.  The Moon's cycles affects the High tide and Low Tide, so too does your desire to remove from these areas of your life worries, fears, guilts, insecurities etc.. (this list you create in your mind and heart with hands open and facing up as you pray).

5.Renewal - (if you practiced the new moon ceremony from june skip this step) After releasing, truly releasing from your heart to the energies present all that does not serve you, write within each of the 3 categories the renewal you desire in your life, the new energies you would like to see with regards to your Work, Family and Self.

6.Request - Place the paper into the bowl of water, and use your fingers to wash over each line of your request within each category, as you wash the paper be conscious as the energies present and that of this Moon cycle assist you with manifesting these desires, releasing your request to the moon as it fades before you in the water.

7.Gratitude - After going over all items on your paper say a prayer of gratitude, a prayer of thanks acknowledging the presence of your guides and teachers that have been with you through out this ceremony, take the paper out of the container of water and squeeze the water out of the paper back into the bowl.

8.Offering - Add the paper around a plant and pour the water from the bowl on the plant as well, repeating in your mind 3 times "As I Give, So am I provided For ".

9. Close Sacred Space - thanking and releasing great spirit and your guides from this ceremony, the energies / entities you called in the beginning.

Be conscious that these desires are no longer with you but released to the earth through the paper, controlled in liquid form by the cycles of the moon and already in the process of being manifested within your life.

Energy is present 2 days before and 2 days after Full moon so you have time to practice.

Full Worm Blue Moon / Maple Blue Moon Ceremony

March is the month of the Full Worm Moon.

The Full Worm Moon  was given its name by the Algonquin tribes from New England to Lake Superior.

At the time of this spring Moon, the ground begins to soften and earthworm casts reappear, inviting the return of robins. In some regions, this is also known as the Sap Moon, as it marks the time when maple sap begins to flow and the annual tapping of maple trees begins.

The ceremony for March31st allows us to tap into our gifts of manifestation and healing in the 4 main areas of our life, health, love life, clarity and abundance.

Energy Cleansing Ceremony

ENERGY CLEANSING

In my personal practice before every healing session or ceremony I call in the energy from the four directions and I cleanse the energy of all present using Palo Santo ( spanish for holy wood) This clears my mind, emotions,  soul and the space of any negative or hindering energy before proceeding. There is alot of information available on cleansing / smudging on the internet, what I would like to speak specifically towards is an Energy Cleansing ceremony ideal as a post new moon ceremony as with the new moon comes the setting of intentions it is good to clear all aspects of your being prior to this event. (See here for info on moon phases and energy).

Coming up to a new moon is the waning phase which is ideal for transmutation, similar to the compost stage with plants the release of what does not serve being used to support the new energy we choose to accept into our lives.

The ceremony is as follows:

1. OPEN SACRED SPACE you can use a prayer or simply set your intentions asking for your higher self/ creator to enter your space and allow all that will be done to work towards the benefit of yourself firstly and all around you.

2. ENERGY OF 4 DIRECTIONS AND ELEMENTS Set up 4 items representing the 4 directions and the 4 aspects of self that we will be cleansing :
      * Stone / Crystal or simply the floor to represent earth this is connected to our physical body.
      * Incense, scented candle any sweet aroma that creates smoke this will represent air, our mind              and thoughts.
      * Water this represents our emotions.
      * fire / candle - this represents our soul / heart , passions and desires.

3. WHAT DOES NOT SERVE We now create a list of all the things we desire to release that are connected to our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual body.. some suggestions are ; judgement, suffering, fear, doubt, jealousy , sickness, sadness, conceit.

4. WINDS CLEAR MY MIND starting with the incense ask the energy you called into the sacred space to blow away your negative thoughts, to cleanse your mind so it may be renewed , blow this desire into your paper and hold it over the incense.

5. WATER WASH AWAY MY FEARS move to the water, dip your finger in the water and sprinkle it over the paper, asking the energy you called into the space to wash away all your worries, doubts, and fears to renew your emotional body, blow this desire into your paper as well.

6. EARTH GROUND MY CONVICTIONS move to the stone/ crystal or simply place the paper on the floor, ask your spirit guide( energy you called into the space) to cleanse your body of all toxins removing from your being what does not serve and returning it to the earth as compost to create new life.

7. FIRE PURGE MY SOUL move to the candle and ask your spirit guide to purge from your being all that is not of the light, as you place this paper into the flames so too shall all that serves no more be transmuted.
blow into the paper light it on fire with the candle and then place it in a metal container.

Observe as it burns and feel the release in your being, when it is finally consumed observe the smoke that rises so too shall your spirits be lifted.

Upon completion throw the ashes outdoors and pour the rest of the water you sprinkled it with ontop of the ashes.

Give thanks to your spirit guide / creator and close your sacred space.

This is an ideal time to meditate for insights.
